Men's Golf Lands at #16 in Golf World/Nike Golf NAIA Poll | Schools

CLINTON, Iowa--Coming off a very successful fall season, the Ashford men's golf team was rewarded for their hard work with an appearance in the Golf World/Nike Golf National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Coaches' Poll.
After concluding the fall season earlier this week, the Saints sit at #16 in the rankings with 105 points after racking up three wins and two runner-up finishes. In addition, head coach Josh Heiple's squad featured four medalist winners, as senior Chien Hau Tan and freshman Joar Bjelkholm each brought home a pair of tournament titles.
The Saints completed fall play with a 68-19 record, 51-17 against the NAIA. Their final tournament was at the Northwood Invitational in Grand Prarie, Texas, the Saints finished 14th in a field that featured some of the best from the NAIA.
The poll combines the resources of Golf World magazine, Nike Golf and the Golf Coaches Associations of America (GGCA).
Bellevue University closed the fall in the as the top squad, earning two first place votes and 237 points to edge out Texas Wesleyan for the #1 ranking. Cal-State San Marcos, Oklahoma City and University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) rounded out the top-five.
